Summer of Love(ly events and people)

I’ve had a lovely summer working with some amazing people and I only recently realised that I’ve not had the time to share my work.

With that in mind, here are some highlights of the past couple of months.

Journeys Festival International

This was undoubtedly my favourite event to shoot recently. As a (former?) actor myself, it was great to be given the opportunity to capture the stories being told by these incredibly talented physical performers.

The rain prevented these shows from taking place outside in the streets, but the Highcross Shopping Centre provided suitable cover and the majority of shows went ahead as planned.

Using little more than music and their bodies, these performers told captivating stories from around the world.

One group did venture out into the rain, where we had a lot of fun. The performers interacted with the public and let their responses shape the story. A story of loss and estrangement was punctuated with moments of hope, and a lot of humour. I have to confess to being surprised at how generous members of the Leicester public were with their engagement, although that wasn’t quite true of the refuse truck driver in the picture below, who was simply bemused by the whole thing!

Welland Valley Legal

I spent a lovely afternoon at Welland Valley Legal just outside Market Harborough, capturing headshots and team photos for this small and friendly team.

It’s no secret that I love being in the countryside, and so it would have been a shame not to capture a team photo in the wonderful surroundings outside the office.

Cats & Cats & Cats & Cats

It’s also no secret that I love cats, so the opportunity to produce some personal branding shots for a professional cat sitter was of course too good to turn down!

I particularly love this photo of Rhi too!

Market Harborough Business Network

As the official photographer for Market Harborough Business Network I’m always busy on the second Friday of the month.

Countryside Connect

On top of that, I run Countryside Connect networking on the third Tuesday of every month too. This month we were at Buttercups Tearoom in Billesdon and I took the chance to snap some wonderfully characterful alpacas while I was there!

Of course we did some networking too…

Relaxing

It would be remiss of me not to go out and enjoy the countryside in the summer, so I took a brief trip to Eyebrook Reservoir, which I discovered when I explored the area around Welland Valley Legal’s office.

And to top it off, one sunny Friday evening I took myself to the iron-age hillfort at Burrough Hill in Melton to watch the sunset. It was delightfully peaceful.

As summer draws to an end, why not start planning your business imagery for the next few months? My personal branding photography packages will ensure that you never run out of material to share online.

Why your business will benefit from YOU being YOU online

By unapologetically being yourself, you give permission for others to do the same.

Whether that’s in person or online, you make other people feel like it’s okay for their authentic selves to show up too.

Who wouldn’t want to work with someone that makes you feel like that?

Traits of my favourite event photography clients

Traits of my favourite event photography clients

I love shooting events. I love the energy, the candid faces, the networking and connections you see taking place, and I love learning new things from industries that I’m completely unfamiliar with.

I love shooting personal events too. Seeing the bond between families and being part of treasured moments is a privilege and I’m always honoured when people trust me to be part of their occasion.
