Business Networking in Leicestershire: Introducing Countryside Connect

If you’re a regular reader of this blog you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of networking. I’ve written blogs about why you should network, how to get the most out of networking events, and I even keep up-to-date lists of events for networking in Leicestershire & Northamptonshire.

It should come as no surprise then, that Countryside Connect was created by putting together my favourite aspects of my favourite networking events.

  • It’s a friendly, welcoming event suitable for businesses of all sizes – whether you’re a freelancer, SME, or larger business.
  • Each event has a different price point.
  • In most cases there are no speeches, pitches, or presentations – just relaxed mingling.
  • Occasionally we incorporate fun activities such as a tour or a demonstration.
  • Each event takes place in a different location, taking in interesting venues in the more rural parts of Leicestershire.
  • Everyone is welcome and there are no lockouts, membership fees, or other requirements.
  • If you’re new to networking, drop me a message beforehand and I’ll personally take care of you on the day to make sure you don’t feel left out. There’s nothing to fear as we always have friendly faces!

Networking in Leicestershire in the Wonderful Countryside

We’ll be making our way around Leicestershire over the next few months. As well as providing an opportunity for regular networkers to discover wonderful new places, we also hope to encourage new networkers in parts of the county that aren’t always serviced well for business events.

There’s also something bigger in the works that I will announce in due course. Watch this space and don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter to be informed as soon as announcements are made, and follow my organiser page on Eventbrite to receive notifications when tickets are released.

If you have a venue in a rural location that would make benefit from engaging with the Leicestershire business community, please get in touch and let’s see how we can work together.

If you go to a networking event and run around the room handing business cards to everyone and only giving them a token level of attention, they’ll remember that you made them feel insignificant.

Would you do business with someone that made you feel insignificant?

By attending networking events regularly and connecting with the same faces on an ongoing basis, you can build a cheerleading squad for your business, but only if you make people feel valued.

During my years of providing business advice to start-ups, I realised that a lot of the things that I took for granted weren’t obvious to those just starting up. In recent years that seems to have exasperated as my TikTok feed is full of people giving out incredibly bad, unrealistic advice.

So here’s my reality check for you.
